About
I started my venture into photography with film; I immediately fell in love with working in a darkroom and the process of developing my film. The hands-on nature of the darkroom led me to push myself creatively, and the finite nature of the materials led me to value the skills necessary to obtain a worthwhile photo. I have since branched into digital photography, where I appreciate the ease it provides in sharing my art as well the flexibility it permits. My background is primarily in street photography, and I believe that this style has a life to it that other disciplines might not, and I challenge myself, in every shoot, to extend that "life" into my portraiture. When shooting, I work hard to encourage my clients to express themselves individually rather than trying to impose my vision onto them. It is my opinion that as people they have inimitable qualities of their own that cannot be captured without liberty to manifest this individuality.
